Dünyanın En Güçlü 100 Teknoloji İnsanından Biri Türkiye'den
Global Telecoms Business dergisi tarafından yayınlanan GTB Power 100 sıralaması 2008’den bu yana teknoloji dünyasının en etkili insanlarını belirliyor. Bağımsız bir jüri tarafından yapılan seçimler sonucunda 2014 listesinin birinci sırasında Facebook’un kurucusu Mark Zuckerberg var. Türkiye’den listeye giren tek isim ise Turkcell CEO’su Süreyya Ciliv.
İnternet trafiği yaratan şirketlerin (OTT) dikkat çektiği 2014 listesinde Mark Zuckerberg’in ilk sırada olması şaşırtıcı değil. Yıllık 7.8 milyar dolar geliri ve 1.2 milyar kullanıcısı olan Facebook’u kuran 5 kişiden biri olarak gösterilen Zuckerberg’in halen şirketin yüzde 28’ine sahip olduğunun da altı çiziliyor.
Facebook’un Skype ile sesli iletişimde başarısız olduğu ancak Whatsapp ile büyük bir adım attığından da bahseden GTB Power 100 listesinde internet şirketlerinin CEO’ları azımsanmayacak sayıda.
İnternet sektörünün önemli isimleri listede
4. sıradaki Netflix ile Apple, Amazon gibi büyüklerin yanında WhatsApp CEO’su Jan Koum’un ve Spotify kurucusu Daniel Ek’in listede olması dikkat çekici. Zuckerberg’in dışında COO ünvanlı Sheryl Sandberg de Facebook adına listede yer alıyor.
Amazon ise hem CEO hem CTO seviyesinde listeye 2 isimler giren şirketlerden. Apple CEO’su Tim Cook da 7. sırada yer alarak Apple’ın değerini doğruluyor.
Google’ın robotik biriminin yöneticisi Andy Rubin, Alibaba’nın efsaneleşmeye yakın kurucusu Jack Ma da pekâla tanıdık isimlerden.
Türkiye’den tek isim
Asya ve Uzakdoğu ülkeleri bir çok önemli isimle GTB Power 100 listesine giriyor ancak Türkiye’den sadece Süreyya Ciliv’i listenin 53. sırasında görüyoruz. Ciliv, Turkcell’i bir iletişim şirketi olmaktan öteye taşıyıp farklı ürün ve servisler sunan bir teknoloji şirketi olarak haline getiren biri olarak tanımlayan GTB, Turkcell Akademi’ye ve Turkcell T50’ye dedeğinmiş.
